This October residents of the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington at Charles E. Smith Life Communities (CESLC), participated in a special project marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event, organized by members of the Home’s Recreational Therapy Department, was an opportunity for the women to join in the community effort to continue to raise awareness about breast cancer.
The residents worked hard assembling symbolic pink and white beaded necklaces. They plan to wear them to show support for the cause or give them to family members.
Hebrew Home is the oldest and largest component of CESLC, offering long-term care to the Greater Washington area. Residents have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities such as this October event. If you would like more information about the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington and Charles E.
