Jennifer has been a volunteer at CESLC for five years now and is preparing to attend college in the fall. Jennifer has shown initiative on multiple occasions within CESLC. In 2014, she founded the Adopt-A-Grandparent Program at Hebrew Home after noticing how positively residents responded to her visits. To date, Adopt-A-Grandparent Program has connected 20 students from local middle and high schools with nearly 50 older adults at CESLC.

“I realized that a lot of residents felt lonely when they didn’t have friends and relatives coming to visit them regularly,” says Jennifer, on why she organized the Adopt-A-Grandparent Program.

Jennifer is a part of a great group of dedicated volunteers at CESLC. It is because of our volunteers that we have successful programs for our residents to participate in.

“We are fortunate to have diverse volunteers who bring a range of experiences and unique skills to campus,” says Monica Mayer, CESLC’s Volunteer Manager. “Because they come from various cultural and professional backgrounds, our volunteers are a tremendous asset to our organization. Their efforts have a noticeable effect on our residents.”

Thank you to all of the CESLC volunteers for their time and commitment to the community, and congratulations to Jennifer on her outstanding achievement.
