Dr. Mintz is currently a solo practitioner in Bethesda, Maryland and is one of the few physicians in the state that is registered to certify patients for medical marijuana. Mintz will discuss the approved uses for medical marijuana, the laws and restrictions in the state of Maryland and how to purchase it.
We are also pleased to host Rabbi James Kahn from the Liberty Dispensary located in Rockville who will discuss the procedures involved in selling medical marijuana, how he became involved and various product options.
Rabbi Kahn is the Director of National Outreach for Holistic Industries, and former director of Liberty Dispensary. He has worked in the cannabis industry since 2012, when his family opened Takoma Wellness Center, DC’s first family-owned dispensary. Rabbi Kahn is an ordained rabbi and has served as Senior Jewish Educator at the University of Maryland Hillel and as Director of Chaplaincy & Jewish Engagement at the Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA).
