Elder Abuse Prevention and Intervention through a Trauma-Informed Lens
June 7 @ 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Join the ElderSAFE Center, CHANA, and BC REST for their second annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day webinar! Elder abuse is a complex issue, affecting about 10% of older adults in the community. It is imperative that professionals understand how to address this issue through a trauma-informed lens. This webinar will provide attendees with an understanding of trauma and its effects on the body and mind. Attendees will then learn to use that understanding of trauma to inform their work with older adults when preventing and intervening in cases of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation.
