Keynote Speaker: Dr. Bibiana Bielekova, Chief, Neuroimmunological Diseases Unit, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Dr. Bielekova has a Doctor of Medicine degree from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. She completed her medical internship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, neurology residency at Boston University, and postdoctoral research fellowship at the NIH. Today, she and her team study mechanisms of immunoregulation, immune-mediated central nervous system tissue injury in MS, and other neuroimmunological diseases with a long-term goal of developing effective therapies.
