The Effects of Trauma

March 8 @ 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.

Annette DelCanto-Ellington, LCSW, SEP, is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist.

She has been practicing for more than twenty years, and works with adults of all ages, focusing on trauma and its many impacts on clients’ lives, including their physical, mental, and neurological health, and their relationships with school, work, and loved ones.

DelCanto-Ellington has a particular interest in trauma’s relationship to cognitive decline, after having cared for her mother for more than ten years until her eventual death from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

DelCanto-Ellington will provide an overview of trauma, signs and symptoms and its relationship to depression, cognitive decline and anxiety and what we can do to help ourselves and the ones we love.
