Susy Murphy, BA, CMC and Owner of Aging Well Eldercare
Susy Elder Murphy, BA, CMCĀ joined Aging Well Eldercare (formerly Debra Levy Eldercare Associates) in 1993, and helped build the practice in her long-time role as Director of Care Management. She assumed day-to-day responsibilities for running the business in the summer of 2012 and full ownership of the practice on June 1, 2013.
Susy is a Certified Care Manager, accredited by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. She is a member of the Aging Life Careā¢ Association and served as an at-large Board Member of their Mid-Atlantic Chapter from 2013 ā 2015 and as President in 2016 and 2017. Currently, she serves a member of the National Board of Directors of the Aging Life Care Association.
Steve Gurney, Founder, Positive Aging Sourcebook
Steve Gurney founded Retirement Living SourceBook in 1990. Drawing from the experience of observing his family caring for Steveās aging grandfather, he created a comprehensive publication to help others in the same situation. Over the next few years Steve expanded the publication to three regional editions, DC metro, State of Maryland, and the Philadelphia region.
In 1998, Mr. Gurney sold his company to The Washington Post where he served as General Manager of Sourcebook and the Senior Living Solutions Division. In 2019, Mr. Gurney acquired the resource back, and has re-branded as Positive Aging Community adding a new design and content, distribution partners, podcasts, and a robust schedule of live and interactive discussions with thought-leaders on a wide variety of topics.
