Understanding and Addressing Substance Abuse in Later Life

This webinar will help professionals better understand the needs and experiences of older adults struggling with substance abuse. Using data from the state of Maryland, attendees will review trends related to substance abuse and behavioral health needs for older adults. Through the use of case examples, the webinar will discuss risk factors and treatment strategies for older adults experiencing substance abuse, including harm reduction strategies. Finally, attendees will learn about available resources to support older adults including efforts from the State of Maryland.
