NORTH BETHESDA, Md. (November 18, 2025) – Hebrew Home of Greater Washington (HHGW), the flagship skilled nursing center at Charles E. Smith Life Communities, has again been recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the nation’s best nursing homes for short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.
This marks the fourth time HHGW has earned both recognitions simultaneously since U.S. News & World Report separated its Best Nursing Homes list into the two distinct categories. This accomplishment underscores HHGW’s sustained commitment to excellence and quality care.
“We are always proud of our associates’ deep commitment to every individual on our campus,” said CESLC Vice President of Business Growth Darren Seise. “This recognition reflects all of the hard work that has gone into continuous quality improvement and ensuring the highest standards of service and hospitality for our short-term patients and long-term residents.”
U.S. News & World Report evaluated nearly 15,000 skilled nursing centers nationwide, assessing performance in areas such as staffing, patient health outcomes and government-conducted health and safety outcomes. According to U.S. News & World Report, only the highest-rated communities in each category earn a spot on the list.
In addition to this honor, Hebrew Home of Greater Washington was also recently recognized by Newsweek on its 2026 America’s Best Nursing Homes list and received a 2025 Silver National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living.
