NORTH BETHESDA, Md. (April 10, 2026) – Charles E. Smith Life Communities (CESLC) has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Greatest Midsize Workplaces in Health Care 2026, a national recognition honoring organizations fostering positive work environments.
The recognition reflects CESLC associates’ commitment to the organization’s mission to deliver quality care and meaningful life experiences to older adults with dignity and compassion rooted in Jewish values.
Organizations were evaluated on working environment, culture and belonging, compensation and benefits, work-life balance, career progression and training and company culture based on more than 1.3 million online employee reviews.
“We are incredibly proud that this recognition is based on our associates’ feedback and experiences,” said Melissa Davidson, senior vice president of human resources. “We know that when our associates feel valued and supported it translates to better quality care and services for our residents. We are grateful to the dedicated team whose commitment made this possible.”
This recognition follows CESLC’s recent recognition as a recipient of the inaugural 2025 America’s Most Admired Non-Profit Culture Award from DRi Waterstone.
