NORTH BETHESDA, Md. – June 30, 2025 – Charles E. Smith Life Communities (CESLC) is pleased to announce that Hebrew Home of Greater Washington (HHGW) has earned a 2025 Silver National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

The Silver Award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes organizations that meet progressively rigorous standards of performance to further improve the lives of residents and associates in long-term care.

Hebrew Home of Greater Washington is among less than 150 skilled nursing centers nationally and the only one in Maryland to earn the Silver Award this year. This marks the second time Hebrew Home has received this prestigious recognition.

“We are proud to be among a select group of skilled nursing centers to earn this award. It is a testament to our proactive approach to continuous quality improvement, which we’ve adopted not only at Hebrew Home of Greater Washington but across our campus,” said CESLC Vice President of Operations Brenda L. Rice. “I am especially proud of our associates whose hard work and commitment to excellence made this achievement possible.”

The 2025 National Quality Award recipients will be recognized during the Elevating Excellence Awards Ceremony at AHCA/NCAL’s Convention & Expo: Delivering Solutions 25, in Las Vegas, Nev. on Tuesday, October 21.
