Join us for part three of our four part series focusing on mental illness in older adults.

In this one-hour interactive workshop Dr. Daniel Burow, clinical director at Sailor Health,Ā  will help older adults and those working with them understand that depression is not an inevitable part of aging and that effective help is available. Through discussion, education, and reflection, participants learn how to recognize depression, explore common causes, and practice strategies to improve mood and resilience.

The workshop combines information with interaction, empowering older adults to take steps toward better emotional health and to support one another in doing so.

Learning Objectives

  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of depression in older adults and how they may differ from those in younger individuals.
  • Identify common causes and contributing factors to depression in later life, including medical, psychological, and social elements.
  • Apply practical strategies and resources for managing depressive symptoms and improving emotional well-being.
