NORTH BETHESDA, Md. (October 13, 2026) – Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, the flagship skilled nursing center at Charles E. Smith Life Communities, has once again been named to Newsweek’s America’s Best Nursing Homes list, earning recognition among the nation’s leading nursing homes for 2027.
The 2027 Newsweek recognition adds to Hebrew Home’s record of national honors and reflects its longstanding commitment to quality, person-centered care.
“We are incredibly proud to be recognized again,” said Brenda L. Rice, vice president of operations at Charles E. Smith Life Communities. “Being recognized year after year speaks to the consistency of the work happening at Hebrew Home. Our associates are committed to our mission, to delivering quality care, and to doing the best they can for the people we serve every day.”
Newsweek’s America’s Best Nursing Homes rankings recognize nursing homes across the country based on factors including performance data, peer recommendations, accreditations, and resident satisfaction.
In addition to national recognition, Hebrew Home’s commitment is reflected in feedback directly from residents’ loved ones. In the 2025 Maryland Nursing Home Family Experience of Care Survey, 94% of those surveyed said they would recommend Hebrew Home to others.
